Style 120
(60" x 80")
This is a
fixed listing for a 33
square foot pack of Style
120 3.16 oz/sq yd crowfoot
weave fiberglass cloth. It
is finished in the epoxy
compatible finish CS-310.
CS-310 is a soft finish,
almost as soft as Volan,
that imparts a brownish tint
instead of a greenish tint
like Volan. The clearest
finish we have for the style
120 is CS-724 but it is a
little stiffer than CS-310.
CS-310 finish is for epoxy
only. Volan finishes, that
are based on Chrome, are
good for any resin.
The total for
the cloth is $ 13.16 which
includes insurance and
priority mail shipping -
packs are normally shipped
the same day.
I used
some to cover the wings,
tail feathers and bottom of
fuselage on the guillow's
cessna 170 as you see in the
photos. The gray material
is some silicone coated
fiberglass style 7628 which
I layed up one layer of the
120 on to start with and
squeegied out with
some epoxy 2427 resin. I
put the parts on the first
layer, cut some of the other
wet out cloth, layed it over
and peel plied around the
edges. After cure I lifted
the parts up, pulled the
silicone coated 7628, cut
and trimmed the edges. The
photos show how easily the
cloth contours to these
small 170 wings and the
texture and color of the
fabric.
We have
plenty of the packs ready to
ship and will get them out
ASAP.
You can also buy 50 yard rolls and larger of the
120 - 60" with the CS-310
finish
and in Volan @ $3 per yard
off our website.
We haven't
done any packs of the Volan
finished 120 yet but if we
get enough requests we'll do
some.
This 120
in the CS-310 finish looks
great over wood also and
being just a bit stiffer
than Volan is a little
easier to squeegie out over
larger layups without
distorting.
Thanks for
looking.

fabric is 0.0043". It is finished with a silane for
epoxy resins. Since we have about 122,000 yards of this
material in stock here at our place all nice and boxed and

3 yard pack
6 oz
UNIDIRECTIONAL
|
This listing is for a 3
yard pack of some very nice Unidirectional E-glass fiberglass which
is 6 ounces per square yard. It has all the glass going down the
length or warp direcition of the material with only a little bit of
fiberglass in the fill direction. It is 38" in width which includes
the coated edge of the fabric. Unidirectional cloth has a problem
with the edge because of not much holding it together. The coating
on the edge eliminates this problem. You will want to remove this
1/4" coated edge prior to using it in your layups or for the most
part you'll just be making parts where this will be outside the area
to be used. This material is style 7721 and has a silane finish that
is good for any type epoxy resin. This is not to be confused with
the BGF style 7721 which is a 4hs 7.9oz.
7721 - 38" 3 yard pack 6 oz UNIDIRECTIONAL
Fiberglass cloth for epoxy resins - just $ 13.59
shipping included.
This was originally used in the circuit
board industry. The company that used it was producing a superior
circuit board product where they altered the direction of each layer
which provided less tracking for their circuit boards. They closed
up the factory they had in the US or something like that and we
bought the 100,000 plus yards they had in stock. The rolls are
38"(37.5 usable), 44" (43.5 usable) 50"(49.5 usable) and 56 (55.5"
usable).
This is good for using down the length of
the wings, making fiberglass tubes, and any kind of structure where
you want more strength in any one direction.
The finish is a clear silane and has the
advantage of not having the green cast like Volan if its not going
to be painted later and you want it to be clear.
The pack weighs 2 pounds and will be
shipped to right away priority mail in the box you see in the
photos. The 108" piece is folded lengthwise 4 times then wrapped
around the corrugated wrap to keep it from breaking the warp glass.
Payment methods accepted are Paypal, money orders, cashiers check
and company checks. We will also offer open accounts when ordering
full size rolls of approximately 1400
yards.
Thanks for looking.

Twill Fiberglass Fabric
$
19.25 for two yards
|
This is some of the most pliable and conformable
fiberglass you'll ever find. For just $
19.25 have two yards of this material delivered
right to your home, business or PO box. This will be sent right
out after your instant payment with paypal or when we receive your
check.
I layed up some of this cloth with
some epoxy (though polyester works excellent also) on the plastic
face you see in the photos just to show how easily this cloth
conforms to compound curves. The only cutting I had to do was at the
chin. This cloth is way easier to get the bubbles out and get to
lay down than some of the other materials.
Using cloth is a lot stronger than regular chopped
strand mat in repairing body parts. If you lay up pieces on the
inside and outside of a hole in a body panel it'll be stronger than
the original. Use some of the light weight fabrics for the final
outer layers and have a lot less grinding and filling to do later.
This is structural fiberglass with plenty of strength for whatever
you want to use it on.
This cloth is some that we get specially woven.
It's a little higher that some of the other plain and satin weaves
out there but the time and labor you save will far outweigh the
little bit of extra cost.
We have about 4,000 yards in stock but it takes
about three months to get this fabric woven. So buy some now before
we run out. You'll love this stuff.
The $ 19.25 price includes insurance and
free priority mail shipping to anywhere in
the continental U.S.
Pay with paypal, money order, cashier's check or
personal check. If you're mailing payment write "2 yds
of
Style 7725 8.5 oz/s Twill Fiberglass Fabric" on the check or money order.
We usually ship the same or next business day.

9 oz.
Fiberglass Cloth
Satin Weave (2
Yards)
|
Throughout the
years we have bought and sold thousands of yards of
several different styles of 9 oz Satin weave
fiberglass cloth with many different finishes.
Style numbers for the E-glass version
of 9 oz Satin weaves include 181, 1581, 7581 and
7781. The drapability and handling characteristics
of the 9 oz satin weave E-glass vary more depending
on the finish than the weave. All have a 57 by 54
ends/inch count and all are the 8 harness satin
weave. The satin weave fiberglass fabric itself is a
very soft and pliable fabric but because of the the
greater demand of the satin weaves in the aerospace
market several different finishes are used that are
much stiffer than those intended for the open
lay-up. These stiffer finishes are also good for
flat lay-ups but not very good at all for compound
curves.
We brought in a
few rolls of some very nice 9 oz satin weave with
the softest finish on the market. I personally used
some to make the elbow that you see in the photos.
For the elbow I turned the Styrofoam on a shopsmith
lathe, then cut the foam at 45 degrees, shaped it
and with epoxy used about a dozen or so pieces
of the 9 oz satin weave to make the part. I layed up
some around the shovel also to further illustrate
just how flexible this material is. I used epoxy but
the cloth is finished to be used with any resin -
polyester, vinylester, epoxy, etc.
This cloth is
good for doing a lot of different projects because
of it thickness at just 0.0090" it's good for the
final layers in boats, corvettes, etc. It's good for
getting some strong stuff in the hard to get to
spots that will leave you with a surface that'll
take very little finishing. Use some Dacron peel ply
and really have a surface that needs little
finishing. |
