8 Harness Satin Weave Fiberglass

There's a lot of difference in the handling characteristics of the satin

weave fabrics depending on their finish.  We like Volan the best.  Volan

has just always seemed to be the softest compared to some of the other

finishes.  There are some soft silanes and many composite builders

prefer Silane finishes over Volan.  Silane finishes are more common

and our prices are based on the costs and availability of these

type materials accordingly.  Some of this may be confusing

and if you'd like I can explain it somewhat better on the phone.

Style 6781 is an 8.9 ounce per square yard S-2 glass fabric that has a count of 57 x 54 ends per inch, uses the yarn S-2 CG 75-1/0 in the warp and fill, has a breaking strength of 400 x 325 lbs/inch and a thickness of 0.0090". 6781 is essentially the same fabric as 1581 and 7781 except that it's S-2 glass instead of E-glass. It's 20% or so stronger than its E-glass counterpart.
