Boat and Tooling Fiberglass Fabrics

Boat and tooling fiberglass fabrics can be roughly described as those fabrics having low thread count, more open type construction for easy wet out and drape.  The "Boat" part of boat and tooling includes repair type cloth and cloth for covering a wood boat.  Now days most boats are constructed with the knitted cloth materials like biax and triax with some combinations of those.  The "boat and tooling fabrics" are what you find at the parts store in prepackaged bags.  On of the most common fiberglass repair type cloth is a 6 oz 7533 or 3733.  Boat and tooling fabrics range from light weight 4 oz like 1522, which is also a surfboard fabric to the heavy 7544 18 oz fiberglass fabric.  Some boat and tooling fabrics we sell are 3.7 oz/sq yd 1521, 1522, 4.7 oz/sq yd 7537, 6 oz/sq yd 3733 and 7533, 7.25 oz/sq yd 2532 and 7532, 10 oz/sq yd 1800 and 7500, 12 oz/sq yd 3764, 18 oz/sq yd 7544 and 3744, 20.1 oz/sq mock leno 7587, and the heavy 39 oz/sq yd ultimate tooling cloth style 1597.  Our inventory for the boat and tooling comes and goes.  Sometimes it comes slow and goes way too fast.  Just keep checking back to see what we have in stock.  We have hundreds of rolls not listed on any of the pages and have plans of putting them on the "one shot deal" page soon.
